La particolarità di questo appartamento spagnolo, ristrutturato di recente, è la presenza di finestre su un solo lato dell’abitazione; di conseguenza il progetto si è concentrato soprattutto sul portare la luce anche negli spazi più interni. Per far ciò, esclusa la parte con finestre che presenta un bellissimo soffitto a voltine di mattoni recuperato, negli altri ambienti i muri non arrivano al soffitto ma creano tante scuole aperte dove la luce si distribuisce e fluisce liberamente.
The renovation of an apartment in Spain
The peculiarity of this recently renovated Spanish apartment is the presence of windows on one side of the house only; consequently, the project focused above all on bringing light into the most internal spaces as well. To do this, excluding the part with windows which has a beautiful vaulted ceiling of recovered brick, in the other rooms the walls do not reach the ceiling but create many open schools where light is distributed and flows freely.
Questa casa, costruita secondo il modello della cabin o capanna, si trova in Brasile e misura soltanto 40mq ed è stata realizzata seguendo i principi dell’ecosostenibilità. Facilmente inseribile in ogni contesto naturale, è stata pensata per non gravare sull’ambiente dove viene posizionata; il legno è quello che viene da aree riforestate, è dotata di pannelli solari e fotovoltaici nonché raccolta delle acque piovane. Accanto, se necessario, è possibile inserire moduli ridotti, per figli o ospiti; in questo caso i due moduli più piccoli sono destinati rispettivamente alla figlia e al cane.
An eco-sustainable house in Brazil
This house, built according to the model of the cabin or hut, measures only 40 square meters and was built following the principles of eco-sustainability. Easily inserted into any natural context, it was designed not to burden the environment where it is placed; the wood comes from reforested areas, is equipped with solar and photovoltaic panels as well as rainwater collection. Alongside, if necessary, it is possible to insert reduced modules, for children or guests; in this case the two smaller modules are intended for the daughter and the dog respectively.
Questo loft di circa 120 mq si trova sulla Riva Destra, a Parigi; è stato recuperato e trasformato in abitazione e atelier da un’artista ma conserva evidenti tracce del suo passato industriale.
Infatti oltre l’arredo di design dal gusto contemporaneo e con qualche accento vintage, e il pavimento in parquet ad omogeneizzare gli ambienti, è stato lasciato a vista il soffitto in travi e pignatte che da un tocco particolare a tutto il loft.
An artist loft in Paris
This 120m2 loft is located on the Right Bank in Paris; it was recovered and transformed into a home and atelier by an artist but retains clear traces of its industrial past.
In fact, besides the design furniture with a contemporary taste and with a few vintage accents, and the parquet floor to homogenize the rooms, the beamed and pinned ceiling has been left exposed which gives a particular touch to the whole loft.
